Welcome to the Middle School!
I began teaching at St. Germaine Catholic School in 1996, the same year my son started kindergarten and my daughter started 3 year old preschool at St. Germaine. Both are proud graduates of St. Germaine and foldly remember their days here.
I received by Bachelor of Arts Degree at Madonna University and my Master of Arts in Teaching at Saginaw Valley State University. I began teaching with the Archdiocese of Detroit at Assumption Grotto Catholic School and later at Queen of Peace Catholic School before coming to St. Germaine. I feel grateful to have found my home at such a wonderful school.
Whenever we get the chance my family goes to our place up north in St. Helen to relax and enjoy the slower pace of life. In my free time up there I enjoy working on jigsaw puzzles, painting, or doing cross stitch. I also like to read and enjoy getting lost in a good book.
This will be my 25th year at St. Germaine, and my 21st year teaching in the middle school. I currently teach ancient civilizations to the sixth grade and American History to the seventh and eighth grades. In addition, I also teach theology to all three grades . I enjoy teaching in the middle school because each day brings new ideas, new challenges, and new conversations. The energy is high and the students provide many new insights, thoughts, and perspectives on the topics being discussed. Each day is new and exciting!
