Homework Policy
Homework is very important and students are expected to return their assignments on the day they are due. All daily homework assignments for my classes will be posted on the front board and each student is responsible for copying the assignments into their planner.
All work must be turned in on time to receive full credit. Assignments that are late, have no name on them, or have scribbled out information will have a 10% reduction from the final grade. All work is to be done in standard blue or black ink unless otherwise indicated. I expect all work to be completed. Finished work should show a students best effort and pride in their accomplishment.
All students will be assigned an absent partner who will keep track of any work that is missed when a student is absent. Absent students should keep their absent sheet until all work has been completed, turned in, and returned with a grade. If there are questions about an assignment on the absent sheet, students should immediately check with the teacher who gave the assignment. Absent work must be turned in within a reasonable amount of time. Usually a student is given one day for each absent day to complete assignments.
Middle school is the time for students to implement the good work and study habits they have learned throughout the years. These years are a time to prepare for high school. Students should not bring anything to class that will distract from the learning process. Coming to class prepared and ready to learn without distractions is essential. Being responsible and respectful will help everyone be successful.
